The Rose, Britain's favourite flower!
Roses look wonderful, smell terrific, are easy to grow and hardy, which means they can be left outdoors and flower year after year. Give them lots to eat and drink, abit of love and appreciation and you’ve cracked it. There are hundreds of varieties and colours to choose from so the first step is deciding where to plant them in your garden.
- They like well drained fertile soil
- Full sun, if possible
- A position which is sheltered from strong winds
- Ideally a fresh plot where roses haven't grown before
We have a vast selection of traditional hybrid teas, floribundas, climbers, ramblers, shrub, old English, ground cover and miniatures and the ever popular celebration roses i.e. Silver Wedding / Golden Wedding etc, also David Austin roses.
We stock roses from many of the leading growers in the country.
We recommend 'Rootgrow' Rootgrow contains spores of 5 species of friendly mycrorrhizol fungi, once germinated they will attach themselves to the root system of the plant and grow out into the surrounding soil, within 2-3 weeks the mycrorrhizol fungi will effectively add a very large second root system to the Rose that will supply extra water and nutrients.(Also good for Rose repellent problems).
